The Day I Met Him

It was a Thursday, I woke up so early that day and headed out to the mall with my elder sisters to find a dress that would be nice but yet won't expose me a lot. After hours of searching we found the perfect one.

We went back home and the event planner was already there, setting up the tables and everything for when my fiancee's family arrive at night.

The day passed so quick, It suddenly was time to greet the guests. I was told not to come down until my sisters come up to get me down.

The ladies arrived and the place was packed, I could hear the laughter, the joy, and the gossip between each group. Although they were happy I was getting married, I was not!

My two best friends came up to my room, and started telling me the latest news downstairs. One of the overheard the groom's cousin say that the boy is forced to get married as he had been a player for too long.

The clock struck 10! It was time to go down...

As I took the first step on the stairs, I could hear my heart beat, I was shaking, and I felt nervous.

Over 100 ladies looked right at me, all with a different thought.

As I reached down the groom's mother and sisters came to greet me, and I sat next to them as they wanted to plan everything out.

Without consulting me my elder sisters agreed that the "Milcha" signing the marriage contract would be after two months, and the wedding would follow after 4 months.

The groom's family were pleased, and they could not stop talking on how I was the perfect one for their son..

At 12 when half the ladies left, they brought the groom to see me and so that we could sit and chat alone.

Mohammed (Groom): What do you study?
Me: Public Relations
Mohammed: Ah Okay

Mohammad: Are you ready for this?
Me: *Kept Silent*
Mohammed: *Smiles*
Mohammed: I will try my best to make you happy...
Me: (at that moment I wanted to tell him, make me happy by canceling this engagement, but I was shy and afraid so I just smiled)

He then left and went with his family out of the house... my sisters and family friends rushed to hear what I had to say about him. To their disappointment, I had nothing to say...
